Prices & ordering

How much does it cost?

Brass finishes are £805 per m² + VAT and copper finishes are £900 per m² + VAT. Each panel is charged at a minimum of 0.25m². Choose Made to measure on any finish page and enter your sizes for an instant price. UK mainland delivery is charged once per order at checkout.

How do I pay?

Orders under £2,000 + VAT are paid in full when you order. For larger orders we're happy to take a 50% deposit, with the balance due 2 weeks before dispatch.

Do you offer trade prices?

Yes: 30% off for design, construction and hospitality businesses, and 50% off showroom displays. Apply for a trade account.

Can you make something bespoke?

Yes. All of our patinas can be made as bespoke commissions, from unusual shapes and large feature walls to furniture and bar tops. Email drawings or photos with measurements to info@metalclad.co.uk and we'll quote.

Samples & finishes

Can I see a finish before I order?

Yes. 100mm samples are £10 each plus £5.95 UK postage. If you return a sample within 30 days, we'll refund the £10 (postage isn't refundable). The Sample Set of all twelve finishes is £105. We post samples worldwide.

Lacquered or oiled and waxed?

Most finishes are lacquered as standard, which significantly delays further development of the patina. You can choose oiled and waxed instead if you'd like the patina to keep evolving. Amazon Verdigris and Moss Antiqued Copper are always oiled and waxed.

How thick are the panels?

Brass and copper sheet is 1.2mm as standard. We can bond panels to a substrate if your project needs it.

What is the largest panel you can make?

Brass: 3000 × 1000mm or 2440 × 1220mm. Copper: 2000 × 1000mm. For larger areas, we'll split your design into panels that join neatly.

Delivery & lead times

Where do you deliver, and what does it cost?

We deliver worldwide. UK mainland delivery is charged once per order at checkout: £75 + VAT for orders up to £500 + VAT, £120 + VAT up to £1,250 + VAT and £185 + VAT up to £3,700 + VAT, then around 5% of the order value. For the Scottish Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland and anywhere outside the UK, please contact us and we'll quote delivery for your project.

How long will my order take?

Manufacture and delivery take 4–5 weeks. Measure, manufacture, delivery and installation take 6–8 weeks. Folded or pressed panels, or panels on a substrate, add at least 2 weeks.

What if something arrives damaged?

Please check your panels on arrival and tell us within 48 hours, with photos, so we can put it right. If the outside of the package is damaged, note this with the delivery driver.

Can I return my order?

Made-to-measure panels can't be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty, because each one is made to your size by hand. Samples and the Sample Set can be returned within 30 days for a refund of the sample price, less postage. See Delivery & returns.

Fitting & care

Can you cut out for sockets, hobs and sinks?

Yes. Send us a drawing showing the positions and sizes of the cut-outs you need.

How do I fix the panels?

Use a grab adhesive and silicone sealant that is non-corrosive and suitable for metal. We recommend Hodgson's Silfix U9 adhesive. Any colour-matched sealant must be suitable for copper and brass. Always check the product data sheet.

What tolerance should I allow?

For wall panels, allow a 2mm gap between the metal and any surface it meets.

Do you offer measuring and installation?

Yes. Send us the address and a drawing or photo, and we'll quote for it.

How do I look after my panels?

Wash gently with warm soapy water only, and never use acidic or alkaline cleaners. Read our full care & cleaning guide.

Can I use the panels outside?

Our panels are made for interiors. Outdoors, rain, frost, sunlight and pollution keep changing the patina, often unevenly, and break down the lacquer, so we can't promise how an exposed panel will look over time.

A sheltered spot, such as a covered porch or under a canopy, can work if you're happy for the finish to keep evolving. Choose oiled and waxed, and re-wax regularly. Bear in mind that run-off from copper and verdigris can stain stone or render below.

Please send us photos of the spot and we'll advise.
